How IBM Watson will change your business
The future of artificial intelligence has already begun. In 2011, a computer faced off against human opponents for the first time. Up till that time, Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter had been the only contestants who had beaten all other candidates. Now they were pitted against IBM's supercomputer Watson - and thus also against artificial intelligence itself. And Watson won. This was a real high point in the life of Eric Brown, Director of Watson Algorithms in the IBM Watson Group.
Following this success Watson was employed at a university hospital, where today he is considered to be a better cancer diagnostician than his human colleagues. Since then, Watson's analytical capabilities have been used for the early detection of diabetes. In the future, the use of artificial intelligence will intensify not only in the area of medicine. In his keynote, Dr. Brown speaks about how artificial intelligence - and Watson - will change the world in the future.
