The future of recycling: How a crazy idea lead to a multimillion-dollar success story

Tom Szaky's company Terracycle, which turns discarded packaging into new products, was founded in the boarding school of Princeton University. Backpacks made from old drink containers and shower curtains from old Cornflakes bags prove where the future of re- / upcycling lies – and it's already a multimillion-dollar business. To date more than two million packaging items have been converted. Supplies are readily available thanks to the 70,000 schools and organizations that pass their waste on to Terracycle. In the future, the company will revolutionize recycling in 14 countries across the world. Founder Tom Szaky, also known as the "Green Zuckerberg," speaks to the ThinkTank about the future of recycling.
