Data protection and the future of privacy
“Privacy” is a key term in the glossary of modern communication and the World Wide Web. At the 11th 2b AHEAD Future Congress, Yair Sharan raised the question: "What actually is privacy?”
Will technologies of the future dissolve existing boundaries in data security? Will we become fully exposed in the coming decades as even our genes and thoughts become storable? And, as a consequence of this future, will there be any differentiation between our public and our “private” identities?
